Exciting news! Izabela Baldyga, one of our Client Solutions Managers, recently became a Certified Scrum Product Owner®, after attending a training course in NYC, where she worked with 23 other working professionals and instructor, Dave Prior of Leading Agile. The course covered creating product visions, roadmaps and release plans, working with user stories, and various techniques for prioritization. Intended to be immersive, the course was run using Scrum and comprised of four 4-hour sprints. According to Scrum Alliance, Inc. - “Scrum has been used to manage work on complex products since the early 1990s. Scrum falls within ‘Agile,’ which is the umbrella term for several types of approaches to getting any complex, innovative scope of work done. The concept is to break large projects into smaller stages, reviewing and adapting along the way.” To learn more about this approach, check out their website.

At ten24, the Client Solutions Manager (CSM) role requires wearing a few different hats. CSMs are project managers, but are also oftentimes product managers. Together with our clients, CSMs define what the end goal should be, or should not be. Our team also practices Agile and we have adopted only some of the tenets of Scrum, such as sprints and pulling work from the backlog. This hybrid process of Scrum works very well for ten24 and for our clients and the product owner course was very relevant to our method and Izzy’s role. After earning her certification, Izzy continues to incorporate what she learned and uses it to benefit the success and efficiency of our company and for our clients.
