Great Year, Exciting things Ahead
January 07, 2016
What a year! 2015 was full of wonderful things. New talent to our team of developers; projects with exciting challenges; getting to know our Worcester neighbors, were some of the things we got to celebrate at our Holiday party. Here's a recap:
New Talent
Ian Hickey joined us at the beginning of 2015, and his experience includes .NET/Microsoft SQL/Windows with a bunch of Java mixed in (for side projects), at ten24 he works mainly with CFML, Hibernate, and AngularJS in an OS Agnostic, DB agnostic, rapid development environment. Currently he works as an application developer with the awesome team that builds Slatwall Commerce. Ian is also a chef with over 15 years of experience, which comes in handy when asking how to make the perfect meringue.
Jasper Boyd joined ten24 after graduating from Clark University with a degree in Computer Science. While at school he developed a custom eCommerce platform for a local startup as well as maintained and extended various web applications for Clark. Jasper's experience with dynamic web architecture and modern web practice aids in the development of Slatwall Commerce and ten24's custom application development. When he's not programming Jasper enjoys composing and performing music.
Miguel Targa has been building eCommerce, ERP and CRM applications since 2008, and brings practical experience with Node.js, PHP, Database (MySQL, MongoDB), Websockets, AngularJS, REST APIs and Infomation Security to the ten24 team. In his spare time, Miguel loves to learn and test new technologies.
Projects
We have great new clients, which include Inc. and Fast Company; DCU Center; Buddies Pro Shop; and NSS Labs. We worked on new projects for some of our existing clients including: ESI, Davol and Spectro Scientific.
New Kid on the Block
Since our move to 20 Franklin Street in December 2014, we have been welcomed with open arms to the up-and-coming area of Worcester. Along the way we have made great friends, who in turn have introduced us to other businesses in the downtown area.
This year, our goal is to schedule even more events were we can give back to the local community as well as establishing relationships that will help us get more exposure in the greater Worcester area.
Holiday Party
On December 11, ten24 celebrated it's annual Holiday party. The celebration kicked off with cocktails and delicious meal at The People's Kitchen. To close the night we were treated to a spectacular show courtesy of Cirque Du Soleil at the DCU Center.
As we reflect on 2015 and all the great things we were able to accomplish, it's hard not to be excited and pumped for our 2016 goals and possibilities. Cheers!
