Marketing Intern

The focus of the Marketing Intern position is to support marketing initiatives, proposals, and office-related administrative tasks. This person must have a highly organized approach to tasks, demonstrated communication and writing skills, and a high level of initiative.

How You’re Going to Spend Your Day

The main tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist with collection and analysis of marketing data to develop insights and help shape future marketing campaigns.

  • Research and keep a pulse on industry trends for the collection of strong topic ideas to guide content creation.

  • Assist with identifying and reaching out to external vendors, industry influencers, online contributors and relevant publications to coordinate partnerships, build our content network and establish collaborative marketing efforts. 

  • Assist with marketing material (email newsletters, website, social media assets and more) development as needed.

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing on initiatives and campaigns.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Proficiency in major business software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or G Suite programs (Google Docs, Google Sheets).

  • Familiarity with graphic design (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CMS platforms (WordPress, etc.), email marketing programs (Mailchimp or Constant Contact) not required but a plus.

  • Willing to express ideas as well as listen.

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction from Marketing Director.

  • Strong attention to detail.
