Two sites launched simultaneously for Airvana Inc.

Airvana came to ten24 with a unique situation. Due to a change in the structure of the business, the company needed to divide their existing website into two unique domains; www.airvana.com and www.airvananetworksolutions.com

The structures and design of each site would be similar, but the product content would be unique.  There was an extremely tight deadline of only 4 weeks, driven by the sale of the business.

The existing website was managed in RedDot CMs and was extremely diificult to maintain, it also made adding a new website expensive because of the licenses required.  After reviewing the needs of Airvana's marketing team, the decision was made to migrate the sites into ten24's open source solution, MURA.  This provided them with:

  • Easy access to update all of their home page elements through a WYSIWYG editor
  • Components that provide content flexibility throughout the site.  For instance, the press contacts are contained in a single component and added to each press release as it is published.  If these press contacts change, Airvana only needs to change that one component and the contacts are updated on every press release on the site
  • The ability to add new forms to the site as needed.
  • Eliminating the costly license fees associated with a commercial CMS.

ten24 Web Solutions was able to migrate the entire Airvana.com website to a new CMS, reproducing the same navigation and functionality as the existing site.  We then duplicated that site into a new database and CMS to produce the ArivanaNetworkSolutions site.  From there, we trained Arivana to make the necessary content changes to the second website so we were ready for launch.

The project was done on time and on budget, launching Friday, August 13th.
