Guidon Performance Solutions re-launches on a more robust CMS

Guidon has been working closely with ten24 since early 2009, with a focus on content marketing through articles, whitepapers and blog posts. 

This re-launch coincided with the introduction of automated, custom news feed from Brafton.  Each day the CMS automatically downloads an XML file from Brafton containing a news article, including key data about the page content.  From that feed ten24's CMS automatically does the following:

Creates a new page in the CMS
Assigns that page to specific Categories and displays the page in multiple key areas of the site, including the Homepage. 

Each of these pages has a static URL (important for SEO) and also include a Related Article listing, pulled dynamically from that last three news items posted in the same categories.

Industry News
Industry news index page is updated to include a listing for the new pages including Title, Publish Date, Short Description Category and Link for each article.

Industry News Category
Each new page is automatically assigned to the appropriate category. All categories are search engine optimized with their own static URL.

Dynamic RSS Feed
RSS feed is automatically generated from the main listing page and we also generate custom GoogleNews sitemap.

In addition, the new CMS allows Guidon to manage their blog The Ascent, within the same application, providing a more effecient content management workflow and the SEO benefit of having the blog reside as an extension of the main URL and not a subdomain.

The robust Content Categorization engine that allows Guidon to centrally manage categories and then assign them to content throughout the site.

Guidon also creates landing pages for Whitepapers designed to generate qualified leads.  The forms and pages are completely managed through the CMS, allowing Guidon to create new fields, customize confirmation pages and also confirmation emails to users that submit the form.  This form data can be exported as a CSV file at anytime through the admin interface of the CMS

Guidon joins BreakingPoint Systems and Airvana Inc. as recent projects that have migrated to ten24's CMS, based on the open source MURA platform.
